The urology association at the Bahrain Medical Society held a training course on urodynamics in collaboration with the Bristol Urological Institute in the United Kingdom.
More than 35 urology specialists took part, including physicians and staff from urology departments in hospitals across several Arab and other countries, as well as participants from public and private hospitals in Bahrain. The course was delivered by Mark Drake of Bristol, UK, and Sherif Mourad, Professor of Urology and President of the International Continence Society.
On this occasion, the President of the Bahrain Urology Association, consultant urologist and transplant surgeon Dr. Hamad Alhellow, said that “this course is a first step towards future cooperation in holding medical courses and events in this field”, describing it as an important step towards establishing a regional centre in Bahrain for such advanced medical courses.
